The Daniel Maher Stained Glass studio is located at 500 Medford Street in Somerville, Massachusetts. Our studio hours are Monday through Friday from 9 am to 6 pm, Saturdays from noon to 5 PM, and Sundays by appointment only.

If you are familiar with the Boston area at all, you know that Boston is filled with one-way streets and is in a constant state of road construction. This unfortunately means you may face detours that we were unaware of when compiling these directions. It may or may not help to visit Mapquest for alternate directions.

From the North Shore: 93 S to Rt. 16 exit. At the end of the exit take a right and cross Rt. 38, Mystic Ave. Proceed straight on Harvard St. Take a left on Main St. (second light after crossing Mystic Ave.). Main St. becomes Medford Street. Proceed .5 miles, cross Broadway. We are 2 blocks in (.2 miles) on the right.

From the South Shore: 93 N to Somerville, Cambridge exit (just after Callahan tunnel exit). Follow signs to McGrath highway, Somerville. Pass the Museum of Science and reset your mileage meter at the next light. Proceed .2 mi. and bear right under the elevated train bridge, Medford/Everett, rt. 28. After bearing right, stay in the left lane to Medford St./Highland Ave. sign (1.4 mi.). Go straight through the light and bear right on Medford Street. Proceed straight on Medford Street to #500, on the left (2.4 miles from the light after the Museum of Science).

From the West (Mass Pike): Mass Pike East to Cambridge exit. After exit take right onto Storrow Dr. (before crossing river at the Doubletree Guest Suites). Follow Storrow Dr. to the end (stay in left hand lane). Take a left at the end of Storrow Dr. onto McGrath Highway. Pass the Museum of Science and reset your mileage meter at the next light. Proceed .2 mi. and bear right under the elevated train bridge, Medford/Everett, rt. 28. After bearing right, stay in the left lane to Medford St./Highland Ave. sign (1.4 mi.). Go straight through the light and bear right on Medford Street. Proceed straight on Medford Street to #500, on the left (2.4 miles from the light after the Museum of Science).

From the West (Rt. 2): Rt. 2 E to Rt. 16 E (after Rt. 60 and Lake St. exits stay in the left lane to make a left onto Rt. 16 at the light). Proceed on Rt. 16 E, cross Massachusetts Ave. to the next major intersection with a light (Broadway-there's no sign). Make a right onto Broadway (Johnnies Foodmaster is on the corner), and proceed through Teele Square, Powerhouse Square, and Ball Square. As you approach Winter Hill (yes, it is a hill) there is a park on the right and a little further up a Dunkin Donuts on the right. Bear right at the light onto Medford Street. You are now in Magoun Square and we are 2 blocks up on the right, at #500 Medford Street.

By Public Transportation: Take the Green Line to Lechmere Station. Catch the #80 bus/Arlington Crt. via Hillside. Exit the bus on Medford Street between Trull Street and Lowell Street. You can also visit the MBTA web site to use their Trip Planner for more options.
