The majority of the clear round pieces in this window are harvested from pressed and cut glass serving bowls and plates. Interspersed between the found glass objects are clear hand-faceted prismatic jewels that cast a series of prismatic rainbows into the room. In the background of the rounds are three versions of dichroic glass. The dichroic coating has been applied to optically clear glass so in the sunlight hot spots of brilliant color are projected onto the floor. The projected colors change as the angle of the sun changes and the colors in the window itself change as the viewer moves. This window is no longer available. Please e-mail us if you are interested in commissioning a custom window inspired by this Prismatic Rounds window. More of the Housewares Graveyard series Back to gallery of one-of-a-kind art panels
