The Nahant lunette transom is a custom commission that is a perfect compliment to the architectural ornamentation in a Mansard house in the seashore community of Nahant, Massachusetts.
The medallion features the profile of Egg Rock, a prominent island off the coast, and a beach rose, the couple's favorite flower. The alternate quarries in the background depict the variety of animal life in Nahant, on the shore and in the ocean. The paint of the medallion and quarries has been fired in the kiln and are permanent decoration on the glass.
