Peeping Tom of the 21st Century is set in a futuristic Egypt. Although whimsical in form, the piece serves the purpose of obscuring the view into a bedroom from a common stairway. The eyeglasses are real bifocal lenses with a dichroic coating that changes color as the viewer moves.
