This sea life window is appropriately installed in a summer house at Moody Beach in Wells, Maine. Some license has been taken with the color of the fish but the creatures represented are (top to bottom) a blue spotted spinefoot, four baby scups, a red flathead, a pink cannibalistic starfish and a rare blue lobster. Nestled in the sand are skate egg cases and an urchin. The spinefoot body is composed of dichroic glass that shifts color as the viewer moves and provides a metallic iridized surface at certain angles. The glass is a variety of hand blown, machine rolled and photo-resist sandblasted flashed glass and pressed jewels. View
